Confirmation emails were not clear with where to get the shuttle from. After a search on the internet when we arrived at the airport, we finally found (after 30 minutes) where we were supposed to locate the shuttle. We were pleased to see a shuttle there, but as we approached no driver was in it. We waited, a driver then appeared, the driver got in the shuttle (without any customer in it) and drove off very suddenly. We then waited a further 30 minutes for another shuttle to appear and hopped in.
When we arrived at ClickRent (Alicante), I was immediately unsettled by seeing another customer pick small stones and dust from the drivers side mat, as well as shaking the boot floor mat to ensure he would also get his full deposit back.
We were not escorted to the car, nor were we shown around it to ensure we could agree on the condition of the car at the start of the holiday. We were merely told to take photos and video's. I took numerous photos and videos of the car as there were multiple marks and scratches.
Because we had an early drop off (we didn’t know it opened at 8am, we had to pay another €***for an early drop off), we had to drop it off at low cost parking. We handed our keys over, again taking a video and photos of the car so we had proof of the condition of it, and hopped on the shuttle (this was the easiest part of the whole process).
The car was dropped off on the 30/7/25. No confirmation email was received. After 3 days had passed, I worried that I hadn’t received my deposit back. I reached out, and they replied promptly but informed me that the car was not dropped off in the same condition (I have numerous photos and videos as evidence) and that I would receive an email pack with their proof (this still has not been received to this date 2/8/25). When I questioned this, their replies then stopped. I sent a further 3 emails asking for updates, and still didn’t get a response. I started a new thread of emails, received a response in 5 minutes with another email address I needed to contact to resolve this.
I still haven’t received any evidence, or any part of my deposit for the car that i purchased. I would absolutely not recommend this company if you are looking to hire a car.
